I just wanted to post this topic, not sure if anyone else has but it's something on my mind too often.
How important is your boyfriend being a sneaker fiend?
Or a guy that you're interested in or just talking to. [That's my case! xP]
Honestly, I don't think I can be with someone who doesn't appreciate sneakers the way I do. In the past I've had boyfriends who would tell me buying so many sneakers is stupid and a waste of money. Then I get at them for whatever they spend their money on. Recently, I've tried being more open minded but since sneakers are more than just my everyday life I think it's fair to say [and admit] I should look for just that. Cause I really can't stand a guy who doesn't atleast have something spiffy to make me cheese.
Please give me your opinions, advice, stories, anything of the sort.

my boyfriend got me into the whole game. he has a lot more shoes than me, but his parents are also apart of his advantage. I can't handle a guy with no style. guys with no sense of style make me gag.. so basically, it is pretty important to me, that a significant other is into shoes. in terms of friends, hell, I could care less.

i feel the same way. the guy that i date or interested in, i prefer for them to be sneakerheads like me =]]. its best that way because then we both can appreciate sneakers, buy each other sneakers, and help each other out. ii cant date non-sneakerheads and style is a must !

I dated two guys last year who were wore converses with everything (and I'm sure you ladies know what I'm talking about.) It wasn't a big deal to me. Yeah, they were all, "You bid A HUNDRED DOLLARS on SNEAKERS?" where to me, 100$ on sneakers is NOT alot. That was the only thing that bothered me. Otherwise, the relationship was perfectly fine. Although, the two real relationships I've had were with guys who DID collect or know about sneakers.

he doesn't need to be a sneaker FIEND, but he HAS to have a sense of style. wether he rocks jordans, dunks, SBS, converse, vans, or whatever, as long as he knows HOW to rock it, it's fine. i'm not gonna ignore a guy because he only has 3 pairs of sneakers.

a lot of the times, guys with heat have some sort of respect towards the game and others. all transactions have a kind of waiting game where you learn to be patient and ish like that. with all of that respect, I like that in a guy. and being a sneaker fiend to top that sounds pretty good to me.

I've always given chances without thinking sneakers first, but my interests and hobby in sneakers haven't been respected in the way I'd like. I recently met a guy sneaker fiend, who I like, but I'm afraid I could start to like him for the wrong reasons. Ugh!!
