I got my x name tatted on my back it's small so it was easy to cover up since I got a spider right above it, but I look back like what was I thinking, we had been together forever and were even married but of course we are no longer together, cheating of course, that a** lol, my current bf has his ex lips tatted on his wrist which pisses me off every-time I look at it -_- but I guess we are even.

Gurl I'm telling u no don't do it. People break up and move on. Naturally you think you'll be together forever when your with the person you love. And about that significant other...means you been together significantly long, long enough to have been married for some years already...well at least IMO. Save that as a 10th wedding anniversary or something. I would have a son by that time with the same name, make that tatto interchangeable just in case. You can't stop lov'n your child lol, no matter how bad they are. There is only three types of names that belong on a body other than yours. a loved one who has passed away, a child, and maybe the love of your life (preferable your husband). your Ex whoever's name doesn't belong on your body!

i got my boyfriends name on my waist but its actually funny bcuz his name is JAY so if we ever break up "god forbid" i can easily add "LIN" bcuz our daughters name is JAYLIN...lol

and he has my name on his forearm bcuz back in 08 a month after i had my daughter i found out he was cheating so he said to prove he "loves" me he went and tattooed my name on him...*shrugs*

I would get something that symbolizes them but not their name. We have our anniversary tatted in roman numbers on our ring fingers

Think more than twice about it. A friend of mine got her boyfriends name tattooed on her and they broke up for good not too long ago. They thought they would be together forever but things do happen. Keep that in mind.

I wouldn't. My friends, who WERE a couple got each others name tatted on their neck. 3 months later, they broke up. One got a huge cover up over the name. I dont think you should get a tattoo that you may regret in the long run.
